The parallel line through a given point
Problem:
Given: a straight line h = (AB) and a point C not lying on h
Wanted: a straight line g running through C and being parallel to h
Solution:
The start situation is shown in the following window. You may only use "compass and rulers", i.e. the tools "circle from centre and peripheral point" and "line through 2 points". Moreover, you can create intersection points. The construction itself is now left to you - to check if you have learned enough on the preceeding pages and can apply these insights to a new situation ;-).
If you don't get allong with this problem you can drag the "help arrow" to the right, revealing some small hints. But surely you don't need such a help!
